Recent vehicle recalls:

2018-2024 Jeep Gladiator and Wrangler

Vehicles Affected: Parent company Stellantis recalls more than 32,800 model-year 2020-2024 Jeep Gladiator trucks and 2018-2024 Wrangler SUVs.

The Problem: According to the automaker, the instrument panel display may short-circuit and fail. This may prevent a driver from seeing critical information, such as warning lights or the speedometer, and increase the risk of a crash.

The Fix: Dealers will replace the instrument panel display as necessary and for free. Vehicle owners will be notified on October 3rd.

Vehicles Affected: Parent company Stellantis is recalling 1.2 million model-year 2019 and 2021-2024 Ram 1500s.

The Problem: Due to a software malfunction involving the antilock brake system, Stellantis says the ABS control module may disable the electronic stability control system. Driving with electronic stability control disabled can increase the risk of a crash.

The Fix: Dealers will update the ABS control module software as necessary and for free. Vehicle owners will be notified on October 3rd.

Ford Issues Widespread Recall of Nearly 100,000 Vehicles

Vehicles Affected: Ford is recalling more than 90,700 vehicles, including model-year 2021-2022 Bronco, Edge and Explorer SUVs and F-150 trucks, as well as model-year 2021-2022 Aviator and Nautilus SUVs from Ford luxury brand Lincoln.

The Problem: According to the automakers, the 2.7- or 3.0-liter Nano EcoBoost V-6 engines in these vehicle models may contain faulty intake valves that could crack and break, thus resulting in a loss of drive power or increasing the risk of a crash. Before losing motive power, Ford notes the check-engine light may illuminate on the instrument cluster and drivers may notice the vehicle running rough.

The Fix: Dealers will perform an engine cycle test and replace the engine as necessary and for free. Ford will notify owners on October 7th.

2023-2024 Toyota Sequoia SUVs

Vehicles Affected: Toyota recalls 43,400 model-year 2023-2024 Sequoia SUVs.

The Problem: Toyota says the resin tow-hitch cover on these vehicles may separate from the rear bumper while the vehicle is in motion, thus becoming a road hazard and increasing the risk of a crash.

The Fix: Dealers will resolve the issue by replacing the current tow-hitch cover with an improved one as necessary and for free. Toyota will notify vehicle owners by late October.
