Performance parts distributor Turn 14 Distribution announced the launch of Virtual Inventory as its latest competitive advantage for dealers.

Virtual Inventory is a program that allows dealers to store purchased products across Turn 14 Distribution’s network of distribution centers, according to the company. Items in a dealer’s Virtual Inventory are allocated and accessible to that dealer only, and can ship on demand using Turn 14 Distribution’s logistics and cost-effective shipping rates.

Virtual Inventory empowers dealers to make strategic investments into the products that are most relevant to their unique businesses, without the costs, complexity, and finite limitations of traditional warehousing options, according to officials. Dealers utilizing the program can directly leverage Turn 14 Distribution’s cutting-edge infrastructure to store, manage and ship their own portfolio of inventory.

“Virtual Inventory is an innovation. No other program allows businesses of any size to be as nimble and strategic with their inventory capital. Dealers with limited in-house storage can enlist our 1.4-million-square-foot capacity to unlock new opportunities, while those with warehouses can optimize their inventory strategy by preserving shelf space for their most essential products,” said Kyle Shelley, vice president of sales at Turn 14 Distribution.
