TMI Products awarded the company’s fifth and final 2024 TRIM Road Tour winner at the TMI Products Cars and Clearance Event at the TMI Headquarters in Corona, California, on Aug. 17. Judges chose Steve Swanson’s 1969 Chevrolet Camaro. Swanson, who hails from Murrieta, California, had a nearly complete TMI Interior, with a color scheme he chose himself.

Starting off with the popular Low Back Seats in the Sport-R1000 pattern wrapped in gray leather with charcoal gray insert and maroon stripes, he built the entire interior around this theme, and even decided on the Candy Maroon exterior paint, applied by Motech Performance in Murrieta, California.

Tour Champ

With the final five in place, judges bestowed the champion title to Jim McKay of Havasu, Arizona, and owner of Lakeside Speed & Shine. McKay, with his 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle, was the winner of the first stop at the Grand National Roadster Show in Pomona, California, on Feb. 4.

McKay drove five hours to be at the Cars and Clearance to once again show off his full TMI interior, which uses a pair of Pro Grand seats with the Sport GT pattern. McKay will now head to the 2024 SEMA Show on Nov. 5-8 as the TMI Road Tour Champion, with his Chevelle earning a spot into the TMI TRIM Awards’ Top 20 vehicles at the SEMA Show.

The winners of the TMI TRIM Award’s nine class trophies and the Best of Show Champion from the 2024 SEMA Show will receive an invitation to attend the 2025 Barrett-Jackson Cup in Scottsdale, Arizona.
