Petersen Automotive Museum Announces All-New Workshop Tours
Guests get an exclusive look into the museum’s renowned Vault & never-before-seen workshop…
Now you can see where the magic happens.
The Petersen Automotive Museum has opened its Vault Workshop for public viewing. All-new workshop tours, led by one of the museum’s expert docents, are offered once a week for 25 guests, officials announced.
Visitors embark on a two-hour guided tour into the museum’s world-famous Vault and, for the first time, through the facility’s workshop as well.
“Guests will see the museum’s collection and projects being preserved, studied and maintained. Visitors can expect to see mechanical work and new exhibit vehicles, with photo opportunities as they navigate the never-before-seen space,” officials stated in a press release announcing the new tours.
Located in Los Angeles, the Petersen Automotive Museum employs more than 10 preservation experts charged with maintaining and repairing its collection of vehicles to keep them perfectly preserved and/or ready for display at any time.
The Petersen Workshop Tours are held at 9:30 a.m. on Saturdays, with additional tours available on Saturdays and Sundays of holiday weekends or by demand.
