AAPEX 2021 Reveals Training Schedule
AAPEX 2021 has revealed the lineup of technical and business management training to be offered in the new Repair Shop HQ, show organizers announced. The schedule features a wide range of topics and focuses on education for shop owners, service advisors and technicians. AAPEX 2021 will take place Nov. 2-4, at the Sands Expo and Caesars Forum Conference Center in Las Vegas.
AAPEX formed a selection panel, comprised of 20 shop owners, to judge the more than 120 submissions and identify training that will best equip service professionals with skills to meet the challenges of today and tomorrow, the organization said. All classes are intermediate or advanced-level and will be led by industry trainers and speakers.
Technical training sessions will cover a range of topics, including advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS) and calibrations, scan data analysis for diagnosing driveability issues, fuel trim diagnostics and servicing hybrids and battery electric vehicles.
Business management training sessions will include filling the technician void, a P&L boot camp, superior service advising, succession planning, advanced financial strategies and navigating the business realities of the new aftermarket.
All sessions will take place in the four new training theatres in Repair Shop HQ and are accredited toward the Automotive Aftermarket Professional (AAP) and Master Automotive Aftermarket Professional (MAAP) designations.
Registration for AAPEX opens in early May and at that time, attendees will be able to select training sessions for $25 each.
