Back in September, WD-40 Brand announced that it had teamed up with content creator Throtl to revive a wrecked 2005 Ford GT, with plans to debut the car at SEMA 2025. The rebuild has been documented in a series of videos on Throtl’s YouTube channel, with the final installment of the series to be filmed at WD-40’s booth (#24493) in Central Hall at SEMA when the rebuilt GT is finally revealed.
The week kicks off on Tuesday, Nov. 4, at 9:30 a.m. with a grand vehicle unveiling, led by WD-40 Brand and Throtl representatives. An in-booth meet-and-greet with the Throtl team will take place beginning at 1 p.m., with the first 150 attendees receiving a custom, limited-edition Ford GT Leen Customs pin, company officials stated in a press release.
“We could not think of a more fitting stage to debut one of the most challenging, yet rewarding projects the Throtl team has taken on,” said Evan Beckerman, co-founder of Throtl Inc. “Our fans know and love our vehicle restorations, and with this Ford GT, we pushed the boundaries of what’s possible. WD-40 Brand gave us the right tools and products necessary to restore this American supercar, and we’re thrilled to share the long-anticipated results at SEMA 2025.”
