The truck is owned by Zack Cosby, a fan and enthusiast, who was selected to have his truck upgraded and exhibited at the SEMA Show, scheduled for Oct. 31-Nov. 3 in Las Vegas, Nevada. Cosby’s truck was selected after he answered a ‘want ad’ on ICON’s Instagram, seeking a 2023 GMC Canyon AT4 for a routine research and development measuring session, the company said.
The truck reveal is scheduled for Nov. 2, at 11:30 a.m. in the RANDYS Worldwide booth No. 57169 in the West Hall of the Las Vegas Convention Center. Television host and off-road builder Ian Johnson will be on hand to host the reveal.
The fully customized GMC Canyon build will showcase an array of components, including a suspension package built for speed, off-road-inspired ICON Alloys wheels, and custom-fabricated armor from ICON Impact. Other contributors to the project include Yukon Gear & Axle, KC HiLiTES, Nitto Tires, BOXO, Pro Eagle, MagnaFlow, Rugged Radios, Schosche Industries, and Canyon Coolers, the company said.
“We are thrilled to bring Zack’s vision to life and share it with the world at the 2023 SEMA Show,” said Coelette Chenier ICON’s marketing manager. “This project embodies our commitment to innovation, collaboration, community and pushing the boundaries of automotive excellence.”
Adjacent to the GMC Canyon presentation, ICON will showcase its lineup of new products, which can also be viewed in the SEMA New Products Showcase. Additionally, another build will be displayed in the ICON booth No. 56169 in the West Hall (LVCC). Attendees will get a look at a customized 2023 Ford F250 Super Duty featuring custom fiberglass fenders and bedsides, installed and painted by Theresa Contreras, the company said.
Sitting atop 42-inch Nitto Tires, the truck is outfitted with ICON’s new 2023 Ford Super Duty 3.5-inch lift coilover conversion, which includes customized ICON 3.0 Series remote reservoir coilovers, customized ICON 3.5 Series bypass secondary front shocks, and customized ICON 3.5 Series bypass rear shocks with rebound damping adjustment technology, the company said.
Other notable suspension highlights also include an all-new ICON front 4-link conversion for the 2023 Ford Super Duty, ICON’s Centerline steering stabilizer kit, and custom rear leaf spring packs.
A full-length video documenting the build process and reveal event will be available on ICON’s YouTube Channel following the 2023 SEMA Show, the company said.
