Expanded Aftermarket Coverage at AAPEX

Astemo continues to expand its automotive aftermarket offerings with an emphasis on several key product categories, including electronic throttle bodies, mass airflow sensors, ignition coils and position sensors for camshafts and crankshafts, according to a press release. The company has also broadened its aftermarket portfolio with brake calipers and brake pads. These products will be on display at the Venetian Convention and Expo Center (AAPEX Booth #V2831).

SHOWA Performance Off-Road Shocks Debut at SEMA

The company will also launch the SHOWA Performance shock absorber line for the 4×4 and off-road market at its SEMA Show Booth #55217. Available in early 2027, the new line ranges from everyday to race-ready shocks, with applications for today’s most popular off-road vehicles and custom builds, the company said.

At the company’s AAPEX booth, a vehicle equipped with SHOWA Performance suspension will highlight the expansion into the off-road segment. Together with a full array of 4×4 performance shock absorbers and related suspension components, the vehicle will demonstrate the Astemo legacy of performance engineering expertise through the SHOWA product launch, the release noted.

“We continue to look for opportunities to expand our coverage in product categories where Astemo has deep OE experience and technical expertise,” said Ryan Pelkey, head of the Astemo Americas Aftermarket Business Division. “Our focus is on bringing Tier 1 supplier expertise and quality, backed by nearly a century of OE experience and innovation inherited through one of Astemo’s predecessor businesses, to an expanding range of aftermarket vehicle applications and customers.”

Astemo will also showcase its growing powersports portfolio with products and technologies from its established SHOWA, Nissin and Keihin brands, including the SHOWA GRID suspension.

Josef Newgarden Appearance at AAPEX

Two-time Indianapolis 500 winner Josef Newgarden will make an appearance at the Astemo AAPEX booth to sign autographs from 3:30-4:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 4. The booth will feature a display of championship-winning Honda HRC Progressive race bikes.

Astemo continued its IndyCar Series partnership with Team Penske and Chevrolet for a 15th consecutive season in 2026 as a sponsor of the Newgarden-driven No. 2 Chevrolet.

“Our AAPEX display reflects our continued investment in our North American aftermarket business,” Pelkey said. “In addition to new product introductions, we are focused on identifying opportunities to increase vehicle coverage within existing categories while evaluating additional areas for future portfolio growth.”
