2023-24 RAM 1500/2500/3500/4500/5500
Vehicles Affected: Ram is recalling approximately 142,100 vehicles, including model-year 2023 1500 and model-year 2023-24 2500, 3500, 4500 and 5500 trucks.
The Problem: According to the automaker, the issue concerns the steering column control module, which may cause the high beams to activate when the turn signal is used or vice-versa. Additionally, the turn signal self-canceling feature may not function properly. Either issue can cause confusion or reduce visibility for other vehicles, thereby increasing the risk of a crash.
The Fix: Dealers will inspect and replace the steering column control module for free, as necessary. Owners will be notified by parent automaker Stellantis on Jan. 17, 2024.

2021-24 JEEP WRANGLER 4XE/4XE PLUG-IN HYBRID
Vehicles Affected: Parent company Stellantis is recalling 32,000 model-year 2021-22 Jeep Wrangler 4xe and 2023-24 Wrangler Unlimited 4xe plug-in hybrid SUVs due to a threat of fire.
The Problem: An internal company investigation discovered eight vehicle fires thus far. The investigation determined all vehicles were parked and turned off, with six of them connected to chargers. The automaker says the vehicles are safe to drive, noting it is unaware of any related accidents or injuries. While Stellantis estimates only 1% of affected vehicles may have the defect, the company advises owners to avoid recharging and to park away from other structures or vehicles until a remedy is performed.
The Fix: According to the automaker, the fix involves a software flash; however, if a certain error code appears, then the battery pack will need to be replaced. Owners will be notified by Stellantis when they can schedule appropriate service.

2023-24 HONDA ACCORD & HR-V
Vehicles Affected: Honda is recalling more than 303,000 model-year 2023-24 Accords and HR-Vs.
The Problem: According to the automaker, front seat belt pretensioners may be missing a rivet. As such, a faulty seat belt may not properly protect occupants in the event of a crash.
The Fix: Dealers will inspect and replace the seat belt pretensioner assemblies for free, as necessary. Honda will begin notifying owners on Jan. 8, 2024.

HONDA RECALLS 249,000 VEHICLES
Vehicles Affected: Honda is recalling 249,000 vehicles, including model-year 2018-19 Odyssey minivans; model-year 2016 and 2018-19 Pilot SUVs; and model-year 2017 and 2019 Ridgeline pickups. Affected Acura models include 2016-20 MDX SUVs and 2015-20 TLX sedans.
The Problem: Due to a manufacturing error, the connecting rod bearing in the engine may wear prematurely and seize, which could cause the engine to stall unexpectedly.
The Fix: Dealers will inspect and repair or replace the engine of affected vehicles for free, as necessary. Honda will begin notifying owners on Jan. 2, 2024

2021-23 SUBARU CROSSTREK/FORESTER/LEGACY/OUTBACK
Vehicles Affected: Subaru is recalling 95,800 vehicles, including model-year 2021 Crosstrek and model-year 2022 Forester SUVs, as well as model-year 2021-23 Legacy sedans and Outback wagons.
The Problem: According to the automaker, an insufficient weld may allow water to enter the inhibitor switch and cause it to become inoperative. A faulty inhibitor switch could prevent the reverse lights from illuminating and/or the rearview camera from displaying, thereby increasing the risk of a crash.
The Fix: Dealers will replace the inhibitor switch for free, as necessary. Owners will be notified by mail on Jan. 8, 2024.
