Yokohama Tire is supporting three-time Formula Drift Champion Chris Forsberg and Forsberg Racing at the upcoming NORRA 500, the tire manufacturer announced.
The Yokohama/Forsberg Racing Off-Road partnership kicks off at the Yokohama NORRA 500, Oct. 19-22. Forsberg will compete with Team Yokohama member Leticia Bufoni in a production-class 2023 Nissan Frontier PRO-4X modified with all-new NISMO off-road parts on GEOLANDAR M/T G003 tires, the team said.
“Transitioning from drift to dirt with Yokohama’s GEOLANDAR tires, paired with rugged all-new NISMO Off-Road parts and a Nissan Frontier is a thrilling new chapter,” said Forsberg.”
Off-road equipment on the race truck includes:
- NISMO Off-Road lift kit and high-performance suspension kit
- NISMO Axis Truck Beadlock 17-inch wheels with Yokohama GEOLANDAR M/T G003 tires
- NISMO Off-Road lighting upgrades
- NISMO Off-Road rock sliders
- NISMO Forsberg Racing-designed graphics package

Yokohama is also serving as the title sponsor of the Yokohama NORRA 500, the company said. The two-day race runs from Ensenada, Mexico, to San Felipe.
