Yokohama Tire Extends Porsche Sprint Challenge Sponsorship

Yokohama Tire is returning as the official tire partner and presenting sponsor for the USAC-sanctioned Porsche Sprint Challenge North America and USA West, the tire manufacturer announced.

Yokohama’s ADVAN A005 racing slicks and ADVAN A006 wets are the spec tires for the one-make series, which kicks off its season at Sebring on March 24, the company said. For 2023 the series has grown to five classes: 992 GT3 Cup Pro/AM, 992 GT3 Cup Am, 991 GT3 Cup, Cayman GT4 Clubsport Pro/Am and Cayman GT4 Clubsport Am.

“We’re honored again to join forces with PMNA and USAC on Porsche Sprint Challenge one-make racing in the United States,” said Patricia Wall, Yokohama’s motorsports manager. “This exciting series is a perfect fit within our overall motorsports program and presents another excellent opportunity to spotlight our ADVAN racing slicks in some of the most competitive racing in North America.”

“The Porsche Sprint Challenge North America series is entering its third season in 2023,” said USAC President Kevin Miller, “and the support of Yokohama has been monumental in building one the largest one-make series in the USA. We look forward to launching our 2023 championship at Sebring and racing at the most iconic road racing venues in America throughout the season and crowning our 2023 champions at Indianapolis Motor Speedway in October.”
