A Wyoming Senate resolution to ban electric vehicle sales by 2035 has died in committee, according to a report from Cowboy State Daily.
If passed, the resolution—which wouldn’t be enforced like a law—would have asked residents of the state to voluntarily limit their sales and purchases of new EVs, the report said.
Its sponsors said the main purpose was to make a statement against states like California and New York, which are similarly banning the sale of gas-powered cars.
