Willow Springs International Raceway will hold its Willow Springs Reimagined celebration on Oct. 11 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. This will be the first large-scale event hosted by the raceway since the new ownership group purchased the facility earlier this year. It will feature world-class vehicles, on-track demonstrations, popular automotive industry personalities and a first look at the future of Southern California’s most beloved track, officials stated in a press release. Here’s a glimpse at what attendees can expect:
On-Track Demonstrations
Big Willow will take center stage with a full day of on-track action, featuring a reunion of racing legends from B Sedan Racing, a category with an over 50-year history at the circuit. There will also be demonstrations from other renowned automotive and racing groups, including Czinger, Caterham, the Petersen Automotive Museum and Singer.
World-Class Vehicles & Displays
The main paddock will be filled with displays of rare and iconic vehicles from top manufacturers, brands and private collectors, noted the release. Hot Wheels will present a special display featuring two cars from its Garage of Legends, including life-sized replicas of the Hot Wheels 2001 “Twin Mill” and 2011 “Bone Shaker.” Harbinger will display its vehicles and chassis, while Porsche Santa Clarita will bring a lineup of high-performance models, including the GT3 MR and 992 GT3 RS. FAT International, DirtFish, Shelby American and ICON 4×4 will also have displays.
Curated Car Show
A curated car show will feature more than 50 vehicles from prominent collectors, social media personalities, enthusiasts and industry-leading manufacturers. From supercars to rare classics, the lineup will give guests an up-close look at cars rarely seen outside of private collections and international concours, officials said.
Live Recording of ‘The Smoking Tire’ Podcast
Willow Springs Reimagined will also feature a live recording of “The Smoking Tire” podcast with automotive content creator and journalist Matt Farah, who will be joined by other special guests. The event will also include limited-edition merchandise in collaboration with automotive lifestyle brand The Drivers Era.
For a Good Cause
A portion of proceeds from ticket sales will benefit the East Kern Family Resource Center and Lost Angels Career Center, 501(c)(3) non-profit organizations. Special edition merchandise from the Lost Angels Career Center will also be available to raise awareness and further support the Lancaster-based organization.
