San Dimas, California-based Westin Automotive Products Inc. is in the process of acquiring specific assets, intellectual property rights and the brand name of Superwinch Group, currently located in Portland, Oregon.
Superwinch has been a global market leader and manufacturer of electric and hydraulic winches and accessories for more than 40 years. Westin will expand on the current product offering and add additional value to customers with its winch-capable products, such as HDX grille guards and bumpers, MAX mount systems and Jeep products, according to the company.
“We are very excited at the opportunity to blend the Superwinch brand and products into our overall Westin program. We know that both Superwinch and Westin customers will benefit from the expanded product lines, marketing and customer service that our customers expect from us,” said Bob West, CEO and president of Westin Automotive Products.
“This opportunity is consistent with our reputation of bringing the broadest range of top-quality innovative products for consumer and commercial applications to the automotive aftermarket across the U.S. and worldwide since 1977.”
Westin Automotive Products plans to provide additional details about the transaction in the coming weeks.
