The National Federation of Independent Busienss (NFIB) is conducting a seminar at noon EST on Wednesday covering recent changes to medical leave laws and state and municipal sick leave laws.
The webinar also will cover:
- The interaction between the ADA, FMLA, and workers’ compensation
- How paid time-off, sick leave, and insured short-term disability benefits work with leave laws
- Best practices, including tips to follow and pitfalls to avoid, particularly when disciplining or terminating employees on leave.
The webinar will be presented by Elizabeth Milito, senior executive counsel for the Legal Foundation and NFIB ,and Luke Wake, senior staff attorney for the Small Business Legal Center and NFIB.
