VETMotorsports Alum Launching New Non-Profit

Jon Winker, the combat-wounded United States Army veteran who served as VETMotorsports program director, has departed the organization to start his own non-profit, Resilience Racing, dedicated to assisting physically handicapped drivers. Winker first joined VETMotorsports during the MotoAmerica race weekend at Road America in 2014.

VETMotorsports CEO and Founder, Peter Cline, lauded Winker as “Proof positive what an incredible resource our returning veterans are, and their drive to give back to the community after their service has ended. We’re grateful for his assistance with the VETMotorsports mission.”

“Of course, you wish people could stay on forever, but this is a fantastic development—for Jon; for the veteran community at large, and especially for our handicapped vets who otherwise might not get to take part in this amazing sport,” said VETMotorsports President, Joe Bianco. “Winker is another success story for the VETMotorsports program and we wish him all the best in the future.”
