Every March, Valvoline Global Operations celebrates Mechanics Month, honoring the hardworking professionals who keep vehicles on the road. This year, as part of its commitment to supporting the automotive aftermarket industry, Valvoline Global is donating $5,000 to the Automotive Aftermarket Charitable Foundation (AACF) to provide assistance to mechanics and aftermarket teammates facing unexpected hardships.

“For more than 20 years, Valvoline Global has stood alongside the AACF in its mission to support the men and women who dedicate their lives to keeping our cars, trucks and fleets running safely,” said David Young, vice president/business development, Valvoline Global Operations. “Mechanics are the unsung heroes of global mobility, ensuring that businesses, families, and entire industries keep moving forward. Through this donation, we are reinforcing our commitment to giving back to those who give so much to us.”

The AACF’s Mission

The AACF provides financial assistance, resources and guidance for professionals in the automotive aftermarket industry in times of need. Whether it’s a sudden medical expense, natural disaster or other personal hardship, AACF’s mission is to support aftermarket teammates when they need it most.

The AACF says that mechanics are at the heart of everything it does—ensuring vehicles remain reliable, businesses stay operational and families travel safely. Their expertise and dedication are why Valvoline Global says its support for mechanics extends beyond Mechanics Month—it’s a year-round priority.

“We are incredibly grateful for Valvoline Global’s continued generosity and commitment to supporting the people who make the automotive aftermarket industry thrive,” said John Kairys, executive director of AACF. “For over two decades, Valvoline has been a dedicated partner, helping us provide critical assistance to industry teammates and their families when they need it most. This ongoing support is invaluable in ensuring we can continue our mission of being a safety net for those who keep the world moving.”

For those looking to give back, there are several ways to support AACF’s mission—by making a donation to provide emergency financial relief, spreading awareness of AACF’s work within their communities, or partnering with the foundation to extend support to industry professionals in need.
