“KC HiLiTES manufactures many of the most innovative lighting products on the market for overlanding applications,” said Mo Ayad, divisional purchasing manager, Turn 14 Distribution.
“The company offers many direct-fit products to fit vehicles from domestic and imported pickup trucks to side-by-sides like Polaris, Can-Am, and Arctic Cat. LED, HID, and halogen lighting is available, so customers can choose the lighting solution which best fits their needs.”
KC HiLiTES created the first off-road light in 1970, the Daylighter, which quickly became the performance standard for the world’s top endurance racers. The company takes features developed for racing and design them into products for the consumer off-road market. KC HiLiTES has pursued and developed many patented products, which have been tested and validated by many race teams, including off-road pioneers Walker Evans and Ivan Stewart.
Since the beginning, KC HiLiTES’ involvement with motorsports has been critical to the company’s process of designing, engineering and manufacturing the most advanced performance lighting available. In the ’90s, the company developed various products using HID (High Intensity Discharge) technology, based on the same metal halide concept used to illuminate giant sports complexes, and its HID lights are used on many winning off-road race vehicles.
