The Automotive Aftermarket Charitable Foundation (AACF) recently announced the return of its Classic Car Sweepstakes, giving one winner the chance to take home a beautifully restored 1969 Pontiac Firebird in Champagne Gold Metallic—plus $5,000 in cash, company officials stated in a press release.
After the success of last year’s inaugural sweepstakes where one entrant drove away in a 1965 Mustang Convertible, AACF is back with another timeless piece of American muscle, a Champagne Gold Metallic 1969 Pontiac Firebird powered by a 350-ci V-8 engine paired with a TH350 automatic transmission. The Firebird also features dual exhaust, front power disc brakes, 15-inch PMD Rally II Wheels wrapped in raised white letter tires and a tan bucket seat interior complete with power steering and factory A/C upgraded to R134A refrigerant.
AACF has partnered with Tire Rack and Yokohama Tire, who are providing a custom wheel and tire package to be installed on the vehicle, along with four Tire & Wheel Storage Totes for the original wheels and tires.
Finally, AACF is including $5,000 in cash to help cover taxes and title fees—or for those who prefer cash only, the winner may choose a $25,000 cash prize instead, noted the release.
Taking Part in the AACF’s Classic Car Sweepstakes
Entries are based on donations. The more an individual donates, the more entries they’ll receive. All proceeds from the sweepstakes benefit the AACF, a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing emergency financial assistance to individuals and families in the aftermarket industry facing emergencies like illness, injury or natural disaster.
“Hunter is proud to support AACF’s Classic Car Sweepstakes, a meaningful initiative led by one of the most impactful charities in our industry,” said John Zentz, senior vice president-global sales, Hunter Engineering Company. “We participate with deep respect and admiration for AACF’s mission, and we’re honored to help carry forward Bob Schoeberl’s inspiring vision of giving back to those in need.”
“This sweepstakes has quickly become one of our most exciting fundraising traditions,” added John Kairys, executive director of AACF. “Last year’s winner drove away in a beautiful Mustang, and this year’s Firebird continues that legacy of classic cars, generous partners and an even greater opportunity to help aftermarket families in crisis.”
AACF says that it extends its heartfelt appreciation to its generous partners and sponsors who make this sweepstakes possible, including Advance Auto Parts, Hunter Engineering, Lucas Oil, and Yokohama Tire. It also included a special thank-you to PJ’s Auto World, who helped secure and store the vehicle.
The winner will be drawn on June 2, 2026.
