Petersen Museum To Host 4-Day Tesla Roadster Pop-Up in Los Angeles

Fresh off its Texas unveiling, the new electric, thruster-equipped performance car heads to the Petersen Museum for a limited public showing…

On Oct. 14, Tesla unveiled the Roadster in McGregor, Texas. During the reveal, the company demoed how the car uses rocket thrusters to jump (or fly), rotate in midair and land safely. The thruster-equipped car can also reach 60 mph in less than one second.

Now, the same Roadster vehicle that shared the stage with Elon Musk and team will be on display at the Petersen Automotive Museum for a limited four-day appearance, museum officials announced in a press release.

This is the first time the public will be able to experience the vehicle up close and see how Tesla challenged the limits of design, engineering and physics to deliver an expertly crafted vehicle that can perform at levels unlike any other production car, the release noted.

The pop-up display will run from Saturday, Oct. 24, through Tuesday, Oct. 27, 2026, in the lobby of the Petersen Automotive Museum in Los Angeles.
