StopTech is set to present a wide variety of new brake system components in booth No. 3349 during Dec. 6-8 PRI Show in Indianapolis. StopTech is Centric Parts’ high performance racing brand offering brake components and systems for production cars and high-performance vehicles.
Among the new products in the StopTech booth will be truck-specific performance brake pads, drilled and slotted rotors, and Select, Street and Performance kits.
Racing Success
StopTech is hoping to leverage recent success at the track during the PRI Show.
“2018 has been a strong year for the entire organization as well as many of the racing teams and racers we partner with on custom-engineered products,” said Greg Woo, president of Centric Parts. “Our Centric, StopTech and Qualis businesses are doing very well, and we have introduced a wide range of significant innovations, new products and expanded vehicle and application coverage with many new SKUs.
Top racers equipped with StopTech brake systems have successfully campaigned in a variety of venues and competitions through the year, notching multiple wins, setting several class records and bringing home several championships.
In the Pro Late Model class, Matt Erickson captured two championships, logging 10 wins and setting fastest times on three occasions at Madera and Roseville raceways. Jesse Love took multiple honors in Jr 51Fifty Late Model with four championships, 13 race wins, and two fastest times at Madera, where he is also the record holder.
The Global Time Attack Racing Competition and GridLife Time Attack saw six class records and two track records set by StopTech equipped racers. William Au-Yeun took his PZ Tuning Vibrant Performance Honda Civic to record-setting performances in Global Time Attack Unlimited and Limited FWD at Buttonwillow and Road Atlanta along with a Gridlife Time Attack track record at Gingerman. Markos Mylonas set class records in Street AWD at Road Atlanta and Buttonwillow in his Snail Performance Subaru WRX. Road Atlanta’s Gridlife Time Attack track record now belongs to StopTech racer, James Houghton.
This year’s Dirt Late Model Series also saw some exceptional performances with StopTech-equipped racers notching four champions and 80 top 10 finishes, while recording 10 fastest times. In the Northwest Super Late Model Asphalt class, Brittney Zamora captured her second consecutive championship, while winning the last race of the season.
“It comes as no surprise that many of our StopTech racers are so competitive and successful,” Woo said. “Racing is a big part of our DNA. It’s imbedded in the technology and quality of every StopTech brake kit and component we make. It’s driven from our team’s rich history and deep technical understanding of the racing and performance markets, along with their own personal racing experience and a commitment to be the best.”
