According to a new report from Car & Driver, the Scout brand will introduce its electric SUV and electric off-road truck on Oct. 24. Both models are expected to feature boxy and rugged designs similar to the International Scouts from the 1960-70s.

The announcement will come on the 44th anniversary of the final Scout II production, back in 1980. Both models will ride on a new EV platform designed for off-road applications.

Production is expected to start in 2026 and Scout models will be produced in a new Blythewood, South Carolina factory which will be fully dedicated to the returning brand.
