Jason Wenig, owner of The Creative Workshop in Dania Beach, Florida, worked with the RPM Foundation to establish the new class, which will be appearing at additional Concours events.
“One of the biggest challenges I face is finding the talent needed to restore, service and repair our wonderful classic cars,” Wenig says. “For the past several years, I have been working closely with the RPM Foundation to help them ensure the skills needed to support our hobby not only remain but grow. I’m proud to be a part of their initiatives and to support them.”
“We are truly invested in helping to inspire and create the next generation of collectors and restorers, and the RPM Futures Class aligns perfectly with our mission. We are extremely honored to be partnering with RPM on the first-ever Futures Class,” said Lindsey Harrell, the Hilton Head Island Concours’ President. “With our Driving Young America charitable fund, we support the education, inspiration and creativity of youth who have an interest in the automobile, and we look forward to having our guests see that first-hand this November.”
“The RPM Foundation, the nonprofit automotive trades’ advocate which promotes Restoration, Preservation and Mentorship in the collector car hobby, understands that young people find different paths to their exposure to the classic car world,” the organization said in a release announcing the new class. “This exposure needs engagement, and by partnering with events like the Hilton Head Island Concours, the RPM Foundation is providing young people the support needed by having their vehicles, their workmanship and their passion showcased on the Concours field for all to see.”
