Bring a Trailer has announced the auction of a rare Toyota SUV originally only available for the Japanese market. The car has already been through the importation process and the auction will end Tuesday, May 28.
The Mega Cruiser was the largest SUV ever produced by Toyota. It was built for use by Japanese police and fire teams, but 150 examples of the SUV were also produced for military/civilian use.
The Mega Cruiser is a capable off-roader featuring a factory 4.1L turbodiesel inline 4 engine, four speed automatic transmission, a dual range transfer case, triple locking differentials, portal axles and four wheel steering.
The Mega Cruiser also offers plenty of power for a capable rig thanks to a 24v electrical system. This Mega Cruiser is Right hand drive, as the model was never offered in LHD markets.
