Ram has introduced the new Ram ProMaster electric van (EV), the brand’s first fully electrified vehicle. The Ram ProMaster EV includes a standard 110-kilowatt-hour (kWh) battery pack with a range of up to 162 miles in city driving.
“The introduction of the Ram ProMaster EV is another major milestone on our electrification journey,” said Tim Kuniskis, Ram brand CEO – Stellantis. “Ram offers commercial customers zero-emissions performance, commercial capability and advanced technology.”
Available in five configurations, ProMaster EV will include two roof heights, two body styles and cargo lengths of 12 and 13.5 feet. Among its tech features is a 360-degree camera system that offers bird’s-eye views of the vehicle and its surroundings on the digital touch screen.
The cargo van features a 200-kilowatt (kW) electric drive module (EDM) that delivers 268 horsepower, 302 pound-feet of torque and front-wheel drive capability. The battery is positioned under the floor, which maintains a flat surface, keeping cargo volume unchanged from ICE vehicles.
Active Driving Assist provides Level 2 (L2) automated driving capability. The system uses multiple sensors, including radars and cameras, to determine appropriate roads for the technology.
Additional fleet-friendly technology includes Ram Telematics to reduce fuel costs, improve route efficiency and promote safe driving behaviors. The system also offers real-time vehicle diagnostics and performance data.
Additional Ram ProMaster EV features include:
- Charging Station Locator
- EV Dynamic Trip Prediction
- Uconnect 5 with SiriusXM
- Wi-Fi capability for up to five user profiles
- 1-inch touch screen display with split-screen capabilities
- Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto
- Alexa In-Vehicle Assistant
