Racing & Performance Holdings, parent company of brands including SCAT, AFR, Vortech Superchargers and more, has announced the appointment of Mark Finnie as CEO.
The move will help implement a new organizational design aimed at capitalizing on growth opportunities within its performance brands, the company stated in a press release announcing the appointment.
Finnie brings a wealth of experience to his new role, officials noted, with a track record of success in various leadership positions within the automotive industry including serving as a division president for motorsport aftermarket groups for both Vance & Hines and Performance Machine; as president and CEO of Pertronix Inc.; as founder of Forge-Tec Wheels & Accessories; and as vice president of Weld Racing.
“As Racing and Performance continues its growth through innovative products and strategic acquisitions, the addition of Mark Finnie to our business comes at a perfect time. Mark is familiar with working with multiple companies and different channels of distribution, and we are excited to have him join our organization,” said Will Morris, managing director of Taglich Private Equity.
Growing up in Southern California surrounded by the vibrant racing scene and a multitude of performance manufacturing, Finnie developed a deep-rooted connection to the industry, the release noted.
“I am excited to join Race & Performance Holdings and look forward to working closely with the operation and R&P teams at our brands as we look to grow and strengthen our position in the aftermarket performance industry,” he said. “We look to further enhancing SCAT, AFR, Vortech Superchargers, RaceTec Pistons and PROCAR Seating’s leading positions in the market by leveraging the company’s engineering expertise, coupled with our team’s automotive aftermarket experience and network.”
