Wells will be accountable for developing and executing a comprehensive strategic plan that grows the company’s existing and emerging portfolio of capabilities in areas like product development and manufacturing, as well as new markets through entrepreneurship and acquisitions, the company said.
“I am hugely excited to be part of such a well-respected company such as Quadratec and believe I can add a lot of value to its future,” Wells said. “Having been in the business for many years, I have learned the importance a purposeful and value-based company can bring to consumers. It isn’t always about the sale, but the experience and expectations met, that causes customers to return.”
Wells brings to Quadratec over two decades of truck and aftermarket accessory experience with both long-established companies and enterprises that he founded and led. Most recently, Wells oversaw the development of a new fleet and upfitter truck center for the Ken Garaff Automotive Group, a dealership network based in Salt Lake City, Utah.
He also spent 10 years at Truck Hero with part of that tenure as executive vice president of New Product Development, managing multiple brands and launching numerous new products in the automotive aftermarket, he said.
“We are excited to have David join the Quadratec family,” CEO Ted Wentz said. “He brings a wealth of experience, capability, and energy that will benefit everyone here at Quadratec as we grow and expand our enterprise.”
