The Muscle Car and Corvette Nationals will feature a new Pro-Touring display–including vehicles spanning 65 years of Pro-Touring history–at this year’s event, organizers announced.
Scheduled for Nov. 18-19 at the Donald E. Stevens Convention Center in Rosemont, Illinois, the Muscle Car and Corvette Nationals is a muscle car collector event attracting vehicles and car enthusiasts from across the country and around the world, organizers said, and features a variety of displays, attractions, and more.
This year, Pfaff Designs was invited to assemble some of its designs to represent and showcase the creative side of Pro-Touring, event officials said, and ten vehicles originally drawn by Murray Pfaff have been selected to represent the Pro-Touring movement. From Joe Holyfield’s “Double Agent” MGB GT to Terry Cook’s “Kryptonite” 1955 Chevrolet Bel Air, these cars illustrate the creative nature involved with building a performance classic, Pfaff said, and will be on display alongside Byron Burnham’s Vega “RCR” and Tom Bailey’s twin turbo Talladega. Kevin Byrd’s (host of Two Guys Garage) BMW M3 and Chuck Yee’s 1977 Olds 442 will also be featured. Bookending the display are Pfaff’s 1959 Imperial Speedster and late-model twin-turbo Ford Explorer ST “twiSTed.”
Additionally, the Pro-Touring 101 display will be supported by 3D Car Care Products, Automotive Lift Institute, Auto Metal Direct, Ididit, Forgeline, Motorhead Digital, Painless Performance, Pfaff Designs, and Pro Touring Store.
