Pit+Paddock Plans Grid Icons Detroit Show

Andrew Schenk’s 1986 Mustang GT will be on display at the show.

Pit+Paddock will bring the Grid Icons car show to Detroit on Thursday, Aug. 15. In honor of the 60th anniversary of the Ford Mustang, a collection of modified Mustangs will be on display, including pro drag cars such as Chris Holbrook’s S650-bodied NHRA Factory X Mustang, and highly praised SEMA builds including Andrew Schenk’s twin-supercharged Fox body.

In addition, Ford welcomes guests to check out the latest Dark Horse Mustang with carbon fiber wheels and accessories, as well as the FP800S supercharged package.

Grid Icons serves as a prelude to the annual Woodward Dream Cruise, which attracts more than 40,000 classic cars and one million spectators. The car show will take place at M1 Concourse – an 87-acre motorsport property situated off Woodward Avenue.

An elite group of Pit+Paddock partners will be represented at Grid Icons: Vibrant Performance (Presenting), Weld Racing (Presenting), Hawk Performance (Official Brake), MBRP (Official), and Mahle (VIP Lounge).

Spectator tickets are free while supplies last. VIP passes and pre-orders for the Grid Icons lifestyle collection will be offered at a discounted price until Monday, Aug. 12. Click here for more information.
