Petersen Museum to Host Petit Concours, Porsche 911 Cruise-In

The Petersen Automotive Museum will celebrate the anniversary of the Porsche 911’s first public unveiling in 1963 at the Frankfurt International Motor Show with a Cruise-In dedicated to the 911, museum officials announced.

Scheduled for Sunday, Aug. 27, the museum will also select 100 vehicles from the Cruise-In to participate in a Petit Concours, featuring four categories highlighting some of the most significant iterations and features of 911 over the decades. The categories include: Rennauto (track vehicles), Petersen’s Choice (cars with unique ownership history), Modified and Paint to Sample.

Other highlights include a new Porsche product preview, a display of 911s from all eras, food, entertainment and a panel discussion.

The Cruise-In is open to 911 owners and all spectators.

Porsche fans in attendance will also receive access to the museum and will be able to visit the We Are Porsche exhibit, presented by Porsche Cars North America, celebrating 75 years of the company.
