The Petersen Automotive Museum announced the launch of “Open Garage,” a new YouTube video series that offers viewers a look inside some of the most distinctive private car collections from notable collectors, celebrities, creators and builders. The series premiered Oct. 10 and new episodes drop every Saturday through Nov. 28.
Each episode explores the personal stories behind the collectors’ vehicles and how their passion for the automotive world has shaped their careers. The inaugural lineup includes names such as Tim Allen, automotive photographer Larry Chen, Gas Monkey Garage’s Richard Rawlings, Block House Racing and more. From celebrity collectors to automotive content creators, the series reflects the many ways people connect with cars, museum officials said in a press release.
Through “Open Garage,” the Petersen brings automotive culture beyond the museum’s walls, inviting audiences to explore spaces they might otherwise never see. The series gives longtime enthusiasts and newcomers alike an opportunity to discover the personal interests and creative pursuits that make each location distinctive.
