Le Mans Ultimate – the official videogame of the 24 Hours of Le Mans and FIA World Endurance Championship – will be available to the public on PC in Early Access form beginning Feb 20.
Early Access will allow players to get their hands on the game, developed by renowned simulation developer Studio 397 and Motorsport Games Inc. The title will feature all the cars and circuits from the memorable centenary running of Le Mans in 2023, showcasing the arrival of the hypercars that season.
“To bring this product to market is a dream fulfilled. For the team, it’s the next stint of an exciting journey,” said Dom Duhan, head of Studio 397. “Launching in Early Access is an important step in realizing our ambitions; we will launch features and content at the high standards we set for ourselves.”
Cadillac, Ferrari, Glickenhaus, Peugeot, Porsche, Toyota and Vanwall, developed with extensive manufacturer support, are all featured in the PC game. Players will experience the thrills of driving laser-scanned circuits at Sebring, Portimão, Spa-Francorchamps, Monza, Fuji, Bahrain and Circuit de la Sarthe in Le Mans.
Motorsports fans can start their Le Mans Ultimate journey through online events or single player race weekends, offering the chance to test drive and formulate their own FIA WEC race weekends through practice, qualifying and the main race, according to a press release.
Users can adjust the time of day, session duration and weather conditions to their liking before racing against best-in-class AI drivers.
For those seeking wheel-to-wheel competition, online multiplayer challenges will also be available. Players can take part in ranked daily races that pair them with similarly skilled drivers. Races run throughout the day and provide the opportunity to build Driver and Safety rankings.
More information will be available on the game’s social media channels.
