OPTIMA Batteries has been named the official battery of the SCORE World Desert Championship race series through the end of 2024, the company announced. The organization sanctions events including the Baja 1000, the Baja 500 and the San Felipe 250.
Beginning with the 2022 racing season, more than 60 of SCORE’s race and support vehicles will be equipped with OPTIMA batteries, including chase trucks, race support trucks, pre-runners, UTVs and 35 Wide-Open Baja race buggies and support vehicles. Additionally, all of SCORE’s company vehicles will be equipped with OPTIMA batteries moving forward.

The 54th SCORE Baja 1000 runs from Nov. 18-20. This year’s race covers more than 1,200 miles from Ensenada, Baja California, Mexico to La Paz, B.C. Sur, Mexico.
