OPTIMA Batteries, has announced its return to the SEMA Show with the popular OPTIMA Unleashed showcase. With drift, autocross, and off-road racing cars running every hour, guests can be up close and personal with OPTIMA Batteries’ star athletes like Tanner Foust, Loren Healy, Chris Forsberg and more.
A variety of unique drift and race cars will be providing the action, with Healy’s “El Bandito” Bronco, Foust’s Volkswagen “Drift Taxi” and electric rallycross car, and Christopher Polvoorde’s Pro Lite race truck running among the lineup.
Aside from the constant action throughout the week, car enthusiasts will get a peek into the make-or-break moments of the OPTIMA Ultimate Streetcar Invitational. One hundred high-performance race cars will be competing in two competitions for valuable championship points ahead of the final round at Las Vegas Motor Speedway on Nov. 9.
The race cars will be on display as participants will be judged on the construction and modifications that enhance the look, performance and functionality of a stock vehicle while maintaining or enhancing the daily driving comfort features and accessories.
The Peak Performance Challenge will be hosted on OPTIMA’s Bronze Lot track on Wednesday and Thursday mornings. This timed acceleration and braking competition establishes the car and driver’s ability to accelerate, negotiate tight turns and stop in a designated spot. On Friday night, the OUSCI vehicles will roll out of the Bronze Lot to complete their road rally at Las Vegas Motor Speedway, where the remaining autocross and road course segments of the overall competition will be completed on Saturday.
OPTIMA Unleashed will be free to the public during the SEMA Show from Nov. 5 – 8 at the Bronze Lot of the Las Vegas Convention Center.
