Motoroso Launches Marketplace to Connect Consumers with Automotive Aftermarket Products

Motoroso.com has launched a dedicated automotive marketplace. Motoroso is an interactive content community for automotive and motorcycle enthusiasts. Since 2015, the company has enabled over half a million enthusiasts to find inspiration for their projects and document and share details of their builds, according to the company.

With the launch of the Motoroso Marketplace, the company now hopes to connect America’s gearheads with 100,000s of name-brand products from carefully vetted and trusted retailers, at great prices, with free shipping on all orders, with no minimum, according to the company.

In order to bring the best possible sellers and selection to market, Motoroso has formed a strategic partnership with ChannelAdvisor, a marketplace selling platform, which works with the many of the best auto parts retailers. Through this partnership, the Motoroso Marketplace is able to increase its offering from 100,000s of name brand products at launch, to more than a million by the end of the year.

“We’re addressing what’s been missing for millions of automotive and motorcycle enthusiasts for years,” said Alex Littlewood, founder of Motoroso.com. “The Motoroso Marketplace is a natural extension of our popular content platform, and provides a long overdue enhancement to the enthusiast experience, creating a more engaging path from inspiration to installation.

“The success and utility of Houzz.com and Pinterest helped me realize the automotive industry was overdue for a platform that met the same needs,” added Littlewood, a former Google employee who was raised in the heart of the Silicon Valley and spent the majority of his professional career in startups. “I’ve been a consumer in this industry for my entire adult life, and deeply understand the passion and commitment I share with my fellow gearheads. I jumped at the opportunity to combine my professional experience with my passion for this industry, and deliver the innovation we deserve.”

In conjunction with the launch of its marketplace, Motoroso is also introducing a new video content series featuring installation guides, featured builds, parts reviews and brand spotlights. The first video to roll out features the Roush supercharged Mustang GT project build that Motoroso built in partnership with Ford Motor Co. The Motoroso Mustang was one of only 30 vehicles on display in Ford’s 25,000-square-foot SEMA Show booth. See the first video above.
