Meyer Distributing Opens Delaware Cross-Dock

Meyer Distributing, a provider of automotive specialty products marketing and distribution, has opened a new facility in Bear, Delaware, the company announced. The cross-dock will have a direct, next-day feed from Meyer’s East Hanover, New Jersey distribution hub, which houses an inventory of automotive accessories, exhaust and RV parts.

“Delaware has always been a difficult market for us to reach,” says Cody Ziegler, director of sales for Meyer. “With this new cross-dock, we look forward to doubling the frequency to cities in the state and dramatically improving our service levels.”

“It’s been quite a year for logistics companies trying to maintain reasonable service levels with such day-to-day unpredictability on driving staff,” states Jeff Braun, CEO of Meyer. “But we’re optimistic for improving stability in the months ahead and looking forward to focusing on growth initiatives again.  We have lots of new routes, trucks and drivers being added to the roster, and as always, we appreciate the customers who send us driver referrals.”
