Metalcloak Purchases Assets From Carbon Off Road

Metalcloak announces the completion of an asset purchase agreement with Carbon Off Road, a developer of Jeep axles and gears. The acquisition marks a strategic expansion of Metalcloak’s product line and reinforces its commitment to providing off-road solutions, according to the company.

Based in St George, Utah, Carbon Off Road has built a loyal customer base within the off-road community.

“We are excited to have this opportunity to work with a great friend while taking a great brand to a whole new level. Carbon’s customers, like those that we are fortunate to have at Metalcloak, are looking for the best, and we pledge to continue to fulfill that promise,” said Matson Breakey, co-founder of Metalcloak.

“It’s certainly hard to look up from 40 years of axle and gear business and see a gray-haired man in the mirror, but even with the recent tough years, it’s been a great four decades,” said Ron Stobaugh, co-founder of Carbon Off Road. “I’ve been blessed with the best customers and colleagues in the industry from around the world, including my son Austin.”

“Our friends at Metalcloak have stepped in at the right time to take over and grow the brand into what we always dreamed it could be. We’ll be here to help during the transition and a few special projects, while taking a little break for health and family,” Stobaugh continued.

The integration of Carbon Off Road into Metalcloak is expected to provide both existing and new customers with an expanded array of products, backed by the industry leading customer service and innovative design.
