Mustang Advanced Engineering, an American manufacturer of testing equipment, dynamometers and related products, recently completed the installation of an End-of-Line (EOL) heavy-duty wheel load test stand at Komatsu’s Newberry, South Carolina plant, the company announced.
Komatsu, a developer and supplier of equipment and services for the construction, mining, forklift, industrial and forestry markets, has had a long-standing relationship with Mustang, the company said. The new EOL test stand, along with the software and controls, tests the vehicle’s wheel loading in a safe environment.
Other upgradeable features that are available for the system are brake testing and communication with the vehicle’s ECM to verify the vehicle’s status, MAE said.
“Mustang’s experience with these types of End-of-Line testing systems was key in Komatsu’s choice of suppliers and we look forward to continuing our working relationships with world leading heavy-duty equipment manufacturers such as Komatsu,” said David Ganzhorn, VP of sales.
