Lethal Performance has set the current world record for a supercharged 2024 Mustang, narrowly beating out the closest competitor by two-thousandths of a second.
“We’re loving the sound and looks of the AWE (exhaust) system on our Dark Horse. It’s got a really deep muscle car tone with no nasty rasp. It’s also easily controlled with the factory active exhaust modes to change the tone,” stated Jared Rosen, CEO of Lethal Performance.
Quarter-mile records are typically held by vehicles with full block-back exhaust setups, but this latest win’s exhaust setup was “simply” the AWE SwitchPath Catback Exhaust, which can be heard here during the record-setting pass.
The Dark Horse featured the following upgrades:
- Forgeline GS1R wheels
- A Gen 6 3.0L Whipple Supercharger
- Mickey Thompson ET Street R tires
- Griptec pulley
- AWE SwitchPath Catback Exhaust
- DSS 2000hp axles
“The fact that this record was set with nothing more than the AWE SwitchPath from an exhaust standpoint is impressive – the build sure shows that Lethal knows how to pick their performance parts,” stated Jesse Kramer, VP of marketing and co-owner of AWE.
