The Jan. 13 Future Classic Car Show will host 65 vehicles handpicked as future collectibles during Arizona Auction Week. The free event is set to take place at Scottsdale Quarter, located at 15037 North Scottsdale Road, 85254.
Cars can be entered into the event through the show’s website, futureclassiccarshow.com/register. Free tickets for spectators can be reserved here.
Future Classic Car Show will feature everything from late-model American muscle cars to German performance sedans and Japanese sports cars. The show is more accessible and inclusive than other events during the week, welcoming all types of enthusiasts and casual observers, according to organizers.
Car show participants will compete for seven trophies voted on by writer Andy Reid, the event’s head judge, along with several other guests.
Judged categories include: Best of Show, Best of 1975-1985, Best of 1986-1995, Best of 1996-2005, Best of 2006-2019, Student’s Choice Award and Fan Favorite Award. For the Fan Favorite Award, spectators will have the opportunity to cast a ballot, crowning one vehicle as the winner. Event sponsor Universal Technical Institute will present the Student’s Choice Award, decided by a group of the school’s students and staff.
“Each year the crowds get bigger and the cars better,” said Roger Falcione, CEO of ClassicCars.com, the event’s title sponsor. “This year we are expecting some of the most unique, most exotic and most valuable future collectibles to attend, showcasing the future of the hobby in a family friendly environment, free of charge.”
Along with the 65 cars being judged, hundreds more will be on site as display vehicles, lining several levels of the host parking structure.
The event will open to spectators at 1 p.m. and awards will be presented at 4:30 p.m.
