Jessi Combs Officially Recognized as ‘Fastest Woman on Earth’

Jessi Combs was officially recognized as the ‘Fastest Woman on Earth,’ Motor Authority reports, after officials at Guinness World Records accepted the speeds recorded at the run that ultimately led to her fatal crash.

Combs’ record, officially 522.783 mph, is for the fastest speed on land achieved by a woman.

Combs died last year while trying to break the record at an event in Oregon’s Alvord Desert.
