Yokohama Tire recently added Isenhouer Brothers Racing to its competition lineup at the King of the Hammers (KOH) off-road races.
Yokohama’s team will compete on the company’s GEOLANDAR off-road tires in several categories at the event, which runs through Feb. 3 in Johnson Valley, California.
“The Isenhouers are an incredible addition to the team,” said Andrew Briggs, Yokohama VP of marketing & product management. “They bring a deep understanding of marketing, content creation and off-road culture. We can’t wait to see what they do with our GEOLANDAR tires.”
The Isenhouer Brothers will compete in the Spec TT class, while veteran Levi Shirley heads up the 4400 class. Both will be on purpose-built GEOLANDAR MT-R 40X13.50R18 tires.
“We are excited to join the team and to be working with a manufacturer that has a rich history in motorsport,” said Nick Isenhouer. “We have a solid mix of off-road races, 4×4 adventures and even some drift stuff. Luckily for us Yokohama has something for all of that!”
Also competing will be Kyle Chaney, Wayne Matlock and Kristen Matlock in Desert UTV. They will be riding on GEOLANDAR SD tires in a new size, the company announced.
Yokohama supports more than 25 drivers at KOH and will participate in all six of the four-wheel races.
“At King of the Hammers, you need to have a well-rounded tire—we’re doing everything from desert racing to rock climbs. I’m proud to be running the Yokohama GEOLANDAR tire for the King of the Hammers 2024 Race of Kings,” Shirley said.
Also, Yokohama and Warrior Built Foundation are again co-funding combat veteran Jay Schwab in the KOH Every Man Challenge 4800 Legends Class. Schwab will compete on GEOLANDAR MTs.
Yokohama and Warrior Built will also host a group of combat veterans on-site at the race.
