Yahoo News and a new IIHS report note that over half of surveyed U.S. drivers would be OK with anti-speeding technology. This comes after California recently enacted its own speed limiter system regulations.
The report from IIHS conducted a survey of over 1,800 drivers from across the country. Over 60% of drivers would be fine with audio or visual cues to warn them of the speed limit. Almost 50% of drivers asked were willing to have technology that limits how easy it is to push the gas pedal.
About half of drivers would also override the function if given the option, according to the report.
