Husky Vapor Recovery System Products Get CARB Approval

Three Husky Corporation products for vacuum-assist Enhanced Vapor Recovery (EVR) systems, the style used by approximately half of California’s gasoline fueling stations, have received approval by the California Air Resources Board (CARB), the company announced.

  • Husky Vac Assist MAGBREAK Safe-T-Break
  • Husky Vacuum Assist Safe-T-Break in both reconnectable and non-reconnectable models

The products received approval after passing testing protocols to receive EVR certification according to CARB CP-201, the company said. EVR standards that govern California set forth strict requirements to keep gasoline vapors from escaping into the air at gas stations.

“These certifications mean Husky is back in vapor recovery business in California,” said Husky Corporation president Grenville Sutcliffe. “It also gives us access to other areas where CARB certification is a standard, including parts of Oregon and Washington. Mexico is another area using Stage II Vapor Recovery at gasoline stations, which we would be pleased to serve.”

“These products are exceptional new alternatives for gasoline fueling customers in California and elsewhere who need to meet EVR requirements,” said Husky Corporation California Sales Manager Teddy Sutcliffe. “Everyone at Husky is excited to begin manufacturing these products for these important markets.”
