Hot Rodders of Tomorrow (HROT) has already held three competition events in three different states this year. The group provided a summary of each event, including naming all 18 teams to qualify for its Dual Championship, set to take place at the end of the year at the SEMA and PRI trades shows.
Ohio
At the HROT event held in early March during Piston Powered Auto-Rama in Cleveland, two teams qualified for the Dual Championship: Team Remflex Exhaust Gaskets, and Team Kunzman & Associates.
Texas
Next up was the HROT competition at Tarrant County College in Texas. Six teams advanced to the 2019 Dual National Championship, including Team Fluidamper, Team A-Tech Training, Team Engine & Performance Warehouse, Team Moroso, Team K&N Filters, and Team Considine Sale & Marketing.
Tennessee
This past weekend, HROT saw an additional 10 teams qualify for the Dual Championship during Coker Tire Company’s Chattanooga Cruise In. Qualifying teams included Team E3 Spark Plugs, Team Meziere, Team R&R Marketing, Team Howards Cams, Team ARP, Team Aeromotive, Team Thermo-Tec, Team Allstar Performance, Team PRW and Team Motive Gear.
Volunteers
Volunteers are a huge part in helping HROT run smoothly, according to the group.
“During the 2018 season we had 130 volunteers help,” HROT stated in a news release. “They came from all over the country from different backgrounds-some are retired mechanics, others are past HROT student competitors. But they all do it for one reason: Passion. Passion for the industry, passion in helping the future.”
