GEARWRENCH’s tech-focused solutions caught the attention of awards judges at the 2024 SEMA Show in Las Vegas last month, earning recognition for two of its newest products: the GWSMARTBT Bi-Directional Scan Tool and the MEGAMOD1268 Master Mechanic Tool Set.

Selected from thousands of products across many categories, the wins demonstrate GEARWRENCH’s ongoing commitment to designing solutions to auto techs’ real problems with prices that break industry rules, the company stated in a press release announcing the honors.

The Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) awarded GEARWRENCH a new product award in packaging design for the GWSMARTBT. Submissions included more than two dozen products from across aftermarket categories, including light bar mounts, jacks, suspension and exhaust systems, cleaning products and more. GEARWRENCH was recognized as a runner-up for its package design, which features a bi-fold box with windows to view the tools. An extensive features list surrounds the window.

The GEARWRENCH MEGAMOD1268 Master Mechanic Tool Set was one of 10 products selected for the SEMA Global Media Award by an international voting panel of journalists. The panel reviewed nearly 3,000 products featured at the show to select those they felt would be of most interest to their publications’ readers and most likely to succeed commercially, the release noted. Mike Kojima, an international media judge from MotoIQ, presented the award to GEARWRENCH.

“GEARWRENCH takes every aspect of the automotive tech’s needs into account when designing products, from packaging to price to quality and capability,” said Ray Smith, vice president of marketing for Apex Tool Group. “We’re honored that the industry recognizes our commitment to solving real problems while making work more affordable and efficient for techs. Keep watching—there’s more to come.”
