GC Cooling has signed on as the official cooling fan of the Sept. 9-14 Hot Rod Drag Week.
GC Cooling will travel to each destination along the route, providing technical advice as well as selling 12-, 16- and 24-volt fans and accessories.
Hot Rod Drag Week is an annual event where hundreds of street cars compete to earn the title of fastest street car in America. Entering its 14th year, Hot Rod Drag Week uses four drag strips over five days. Drivers drag race in the morning before taking a predetermined route to the next drag strip. Distances between the drag strips are usually several hundred miles, and drivers must be able to drive from one strip to the next without support vehicles. Only the tools and equipment the drivers can carry in a small trailer are allowed.
“Hot Rod Drag Week is the perfect proving ground to demonstrate our high-performance cooling products,” said Bob Folkestad, owner of GC Cooling. “This event is a true test of the all-around capabilities of these vehicles because most of these cars are easily pushing 1,000 horsepower or more and need serious cooling.”
