The National Federation of Small Business (NFIB) will host a free webinar at noon EST on Wednesday about sexual harassment in the work place. The webinar is specifically targeted toward small businesses.
“Sexual harassment and the #MeToo movement have received lots of news coverage of late. While most of the headlines focus on big-name companies, illegal harassment occurs in businesses of all sizes,” NFIB stated in a news release. “Small businesses who ignore the risks associated with not preventing and stopping discrimination, including sexual harassment, in the workplace, risk financial and reputational devastation.
“This webinar will talk about the perils of ignoring harassment in the workplace and offer simple steps employers can take to protect employees in businesses of all sizes.”
The webinar will be presented by Elizabeth Milito, senior executive counsel for NFIB. Milito focuses on labor and employment issues at the NFIB Legal Center. She has testified before Congress, administrative agencies, and state legislatures on the small-business impact of legislative and regulatory issues. She is also a frequent media spokesperson on employment and labor matters.
