Ford’s PRI Booth to Showcase Kurt Busch Truck on Forgeline Wheels

NASCAR Champion Kurt Busch will display his 2018 Ford F-150 Supercab pickup in the Ford Performance booth at the Performance Racing Industry (PRI) Show this year. The show is set for Dec. 6-Dec. 8 in Indianapolis, and Ford Performance will be in booth No. 1925. The truck first debuted at the SEMA Show, where Busch performed drifting demonstrations in the Ford Performance driving area.

Kurt Busch’s high-performance development shop, Kurt Busch Inc. in Mooresville, North Carolina, chose Forgeline’s FF3 wheels for the 1,000 hp F-150 truck. According to shop foreman Bryce Spence, the shop selected Forgeline because the build required an American-made wheel with a proven history of performance that could withstand the forces a wheel is subjected to during drifting.

The FF3T wheels are three-piece wheels manufactured from fully-forged 6061-T6 aluminum centers, according to Forgeline. The 22×12 wheels feature Pearl Gray centers with Black Pearl outers and a five spoke design with a flat face profile, spokes that taper to a narrower width at the rim register, chamfered edges and a small engraved center cap. Forgeline wheels are produced at the company’s Dayton, Ohio manufacturing facility.

Busch’s Ford F-150 drift truck was designed and styled by ZB Southern Ground, a shop in Peachtree City, Georgia. In January of next year, the vehicle will be auctioned off at Barrett Jackson Scottsdale with proceeds benefiting Camp Southern Ground located in Georgia.
