Exhaust manufacturer AWE recently appointed Alfonso Barrera as field sales specialist for the western half of the United States. Barrera brings a wealth of experience in the automotive aftermarket industry, reinforcing AWE’s commitment to strengthening its sales and support efforts, company officials noted in a press release.
Barrera’s career includes roles as a territory sales manager at Interstate Batteries and as a field support representative at MagnaFlow, where he honed his skills in automotive aftermarket sales, new business development and customer relationship management. He served as an international sales representative at Keystone Automotive Operations for more than 11 years.
“Alfonso’s deep understanding of the automotive aftermarket and his impressive sales background make him a valuable addition to the AWE team,” said Darron Shubin, AWE VP of sales. “His experience will be instrumental in expanding our reach and ensuring our customers receive the best possible service and support.”
Barrera will be responsible for further developing AWE’s presence in the field and supporting the company’s rapidly expanding territories, according to the release. He’ll travel in a modified 2024 Ford F-150 outfitted with AWE’s 0FG exhaust, so dealers can experience the AWE product firsthand.
Barrera joins Garrett Kabinoff, who has been leading AWE’s field sales program east of the Mississippi for three years. Kabinoff, a field sales specialist at AWE since August 2022, previously served as sales manager at Holley Performance Products and provided technical support at DiabloSport Inc.
Dealers are invited to schedule a visit from an AWE field sales representative to learn more about the company’s exhaust products.
